    Event Description:
    The Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library will exhibit approximately 30 photographs of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s visit to Greenville and Harrison Street Baptist Church in 1965.
    The exhibit of photographs, from the Alabama Department of Archives & History’s Jim Peppler Southern Courier Collection, will be on display in the library’s Community Room from Tuesday, Jan. 21 to Friday, Jan. 24, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Library Director Kevin Pearcey said it’s important to remember and recognize King’s visit to the Camellia City, especially this month with regards to the annual Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, and the library’s goal is to ensure all citizens of Greenville have an opportunity to view these historic photographs.
